Fort Lee, New Jersey, June 1, 2008 - American Banknote Corporation, parent of the ABnote Group, announced today that Timothy Wright has joined the company as Vice President of Product Marketing. Mr. Wright will direct ABnote’s global efforts to package existing regional solutions for resale within the group and also direct new product initiatives through technology partnerships and alliances. Prior to joining ABnote, Mr. Wright was vice president of sales at Innovative Card Technologies, Inc., developers of the ICT DisplayCard security device for e-banking, e-commerce and data access. His extensive executive career includes vice president of banking and retail at Gemalto, a leader in digital security and the world’s largest provider of smart cards and services.
In his position at Gemalto, Wright oversaw payment card business activities for all of North America. He also served as the vice president of sales for De La Rue Protection in Dulles, VA, USA; manager of sales & marketing for secure card products for Dainippon Ink & Chemicals in Fort Lee, NJ, USA; and manager of the International Department at Takachiho Technica in Tokyo, Japan.

Throughout his 20-plus year career, Wright has achieved a strong track record of piloting explosive sales growth in vendors of payment cards, smart cards, and payment card security. He has extensive international business experience, and his educational background includes a masters of law degree from Niigata University in Niigata, Japan. He sits on the Board of Directors at International Card Manufacturers Association (ICMA), is a member of the National Committee of Information Technology Standards (NCITS), and is an International Organization for Standardization (ISO) delegate.
